The pattern for these socks came from Sensational Knitted Socks by Charlene Schurch. I knitted them on double pointed needles using Koigu yarn. I even knitted them from the top down, even though I said I wouldn't try the kitchener stitch again. Then I found this how-to video that was just like having a private lesson.
I think I will be working on a sweater next, although these socks were so much fun, I want to try another pair!

They look great! I've tried toe-up, and while I understand it's nice to be able to try them on and use up all your yarn, I can't get the short row heels to fit nearly as well as a standard flap and gusset heel (top down). And you feel like such a smartie when you finally learn the Kitchener!
